What are thoughtforms?

They can shape our perception of reality and influence our behaviour. Negative thoughtforms subconsciously condition us to behave in ways that validate a limited perception of reality - a reality which is not aligned with our highest potential. Thoughtforms are like an autopilot function running in the background. 

The thoughts we give sustained and focused mental energy become thoughtforms. Thoughtforms take on an energetic form of its own in our energy field. I psychically identify thoughtforms. They are in the mental body layer of our auric field - otherwise known as our mind.


When we identify with a thoughtform, we mentally engage with it as if it was true and act in accordance with that thought. We automatically accept it as 'the way things are'. We unconsciously apply its (false) truth to our external landscape and it becomes the version of reality that we see. The interactions we have with other people and with the environment around us are 'coloured' with our projected lens of reality. As we participate in this reality, with this lens over our eyes, we learn about who we are in relation to the people and environment around us. However, with this lens over our eyes, we unconscioulsy seek the meaning that confirms the thoughtforms 'truth'. The programme of the thoughtform runs in the background of our doing and becomes the lens over the reality we are living in, thus forming our perception. It is through our perception that our mind unconsciously seeks to confirm the thoughtform's truth. The thoughtform's 'truth' is otherwise known as our self-beliefs.


Our mental engagement with the thoughtform retains its power over our will when our will is required for desired change. And it is possible to shift this mental engagement into a new, Higher 'truth' that is aligned with your happiness, fulfilment and higher purpose. This begins in the mind.

Thoughtforms are birthed from the mind, and their existence relies solely on the mental energy that the owner of that particular mind (you, me) is giving it. It can be described as a non-sentient entity within your consciousness that others, when believing and identifying with it, can keep alive, too. This is when it becomes existent in the collective consciousness. This is why regaining control over your mind is important not only for your own healing, but for others, too.

'Thoughtforms' can be used interchangably with 'beliefs'. Both thoughtforms and beliefs act as a coloured-lens over our reality. However, the term 'thoughtform' gives a semantic representation of their origin - thoughtforms are indeed, "formed from thought ". Thus, we are reminded of our power in dismantling them using the power of the mind.


How limiting thoughtforms keep you stuck



It is likely that the thoughtforms hindering your self progress are kept alive by the act of you giving it your mental energy. Unconsciously.


As children, we are told how to think about ourselves through our home environment. Our relationship with our caregivers, and our socioeconomic status, indirectly told us who we are when we were children. This early experience created deeply integrated thoughtforms that still, to this day, would be yielding power over the direction of your reality. If these thoughtforms are unaligned with your desired success, happiness, or personal growth: then there is work to be done.

Limiting thoughtforms are contractive in nature. They do not support your life's expansion. They keep you in repeating patterns that are difficult to break out from without a knowledgable coach to help. 




​​​The good news is that limiting thoughtforms can be replaced by dominating them with new, positive thoughtforms. That is: disciplined, focused, attention on new thoughts about yourself and the world around you that you will into existence.


Doing this work in the context of a coaching relationship gives you a fresh set of eyes to become conscious of your unconscious limiting thoughtforms. With a coach, it is very possible to dismantle limiting thoughtforms, and replace them with a new thoughtform that will become your Higher, default, unconscious programme of thought. ​
